Thank you.

Whether you have done some archery while you were on holiday, been to a have-a-go at a school fête, been to some of our Pay’n’Play sessions or have been shooting in your back garden for years; in order to join the club and benefit from membership, you will need to complete a ‘Beginner’s Course’ and register with Archery GB (the sport’s National Governing Body). Most clubs run courses for beginner’s and Ravens is no exception.

The fast track course is designed to fit around modern life rather than taking three or four consecutive Saturday mornings it will take one weekend, with a free optional extra Saturday afternoon where you can shoot with the club to get a feel for what a standard club shoot with Ramsey Ravens is like before deciding if you would like to become a full member.

The course covers the basics of archery technique for different types of archery and introduces you to the essential equipment and how to use it, as well as explaining the range and range safety.  You will experience barebow and recurve, along side the two different shooting styles, and you will be able to try a range of bow types.

As part of your beginners course you will receive a copy of this excellent book published by Archery GB which will guide you through the first steps.
